On behalf of our team, I would like to welcome everyone to Gallup, New Mexico.  Gallup is known as “The Indian Capital of the World” because it is surrounded by numerous Native American nations.

The Gallup Film Festival is only in its 4th year.  It is young and growing with fast excitement.  We have seen film festivals that have their entire city involved.  We see our film festival growing one block at a time.

GFF has attracted film makers from all over the world and we have viewed and screened wonderful submissions.  In the years to follow, we look forward to the growing number of submissions from not only our indigenous people but from people all over the world and what they have seen through their eyes and what stories they have to tell.

It is always a privilege to be able to offer an outlet for people to tell their stories through film.  There are so many films and film makers and only a few actually make it to be nominated for prestigious awards in other famous film festivals.  We want to be a spring board to catapult some of these films to the world.

In the end, all we have is our story.

To the Board members, Sponsors, Volunteers and City of Gallup Lodger’s Tax Committee, Thank You for your belief in the Gallup Film Festival and what it has to offer to this community.
