This award-winning contemporary drama tells the story of Charlie Lone Wolf, a troubled urban Navajo and Lakota youth whose journey from Denver to the home of his sheepherder uncle on the Navajo reservation launches him on a voyage of discovery. Scenes of present-day Navajo life are woven together with traditional ceremonies and stories to create a compelling portrait of the Navajo Way and of one young man's search for identity. A compelling look at contemporary Native American life, Grandfather Sky, is a 50 minute drama exploring the role of cultural identity, family ties, and traditional ways as a means of healing troubled youth.
